    Tyre for tar and offroad?

I third this, at least for the bikes I have owned.

    CE Armour Pads useless???

When I installed my knee protector pads, at +- 8mm thick they did not inspire me with any confidence even though the salesperson assured me they were the latest in protection technology. Fast forward two years and I went down on tar and fell HARD on my right knee and in the process...

    CRF300 Rally thread

550Performance told me that the connector on the ECU of the South African / European model bikes makes the ECU not programable by 550Performance. So I installed the JD Jetting EFI tuner. Check it out here: https://jdjetting.com/product/jdhx07-honda-crf300-l-rally-efi-21-24/ The 300L engine is...

    CRF300 rally vs Husqvarna 701/DR650

250 suffers the same air and fuel starvation as does the 300. The solutions to the 250 and resultant improvements are the same as on the 300. Where the 300L really improves on the 250L is the gear box. On the 300, first through third are shorter, fourth much the same, fifth and sixth are longer...

    CRF300 rally vs Husqvarna 701/DR650

Having come from some serious scoots in the past the 300L had some big shoes to fill. I therefore immediately replaced the rear shock and the front fork spring. These bikes run incredibly lean as they are starved of air and fuel from the factory and adding lots more air and fuel adds...

    CRF300 Rally thread

I bought a Nitron R1 rear shock for my CRF300L ( https://www.nitron.co.uk/buy-online/motorcycles/honda/crf300l-rally/-21--/honda-crf300l-rally--21---ntr-r1--) more than a year ago. The quality of the R1 shock is excellent and have been all round very happy with the performance and plushness of...

Honda CRF300L Final Drive Shaft & Sprocket issue

Interestingly enough, the stock Honda paper elements appears to flow enough air for these 250+ cc engines. I did a few runs on wide-open-throttle test on my XR250 Tornado up a long steep hill over a fixed distance, with the paper element in and with the paper element removed. In both cases the...

Honda CRF300L Final Drive Shaft & Sprocket issue

Thanks for posting this - who would have thought to look down here so early on in the bikes life ? My 300L has only done 1560km and the front sprocket looks just perfect - that is until you pull on it with a pair of pliers and then the amount of play on the spline shaft is quite evident. I...

    New CB500X

Congratulations on the new scoot. Took one for a test ride to-day. Considering what it is and the 120k that you pay for it, there is lots to like and hardly anything to dislike. A few easy mods like opening up the airflow into the airbox and there are a few extra ponies to be had.

    Yes, that one.

    Going to Nkandla

From the 250 Tornado through the CRF250L and even with the CRF300L, the narrow snorkel that flows air into the airbox is far too restrictive to supply the right amount of air that the motor actually needs to perform. (The narrow snorkel does however work a treat by limiting water ingress into...

    Going to Nkandla

That was a very interesting and picturesque route you rode and your piekchas were far from shabby. Thanks for taking the time to put together a great RR. (y)

    The CRF300L thread

Not just a SA problem, as the underlying cause is the on going global chip shortage which is impacting other models as well notably the NC750. I hear next local shipment of 300L is February 2023.

    CRF300L Availibility

The October shipment is no more and is now more like March - May 2023. At Honda WestRand there is no need to hand over your cash. Just sign an official Offer To Purchase document and when they eventually receive stock, you will receive first pick along with any other OTP signees.

    The CRF300L thread

Out of the umpteen 300L videos, a few of whom have upwards of 8k clicks, he is the only one reporting this issue. For anyone wanting to use this "budget / beginners bike" as they would a pucker Enduro like a CRF450X or a 450EXC-F, this mod would be a must.
