I used a new bicycle inner tube. Fits well, feels like original rubber and doesn't have the garish colours of the cricket bat covers. Also you get about 4 pairs of sets from one inner tube.

Both tyres were manufactured in 2013. I suspect the pics make them look old cause they're dusty. The last ride I did with them was through the Cedarberg. :biggrin:
