Attended the first reveal of the Tenere 700 in Australia today. It’s a really good looking bike and the pricing in Australia is very competitive.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but the non-R 790 is dog-ugly. It looks like a  grossly obese worshond. Popped into the local dealer to book a service for my 1090 and they have 790 demo on the floor. Nonekin’s pics of the 790R looks good and hopefully it won’t disappoint in the flesh.

Same problem, just gets a constant eror message. Bike still under warranty so I will get it sorted when it goes for 10 000km service.

Compared to my XT660Z Tenere the 1090R is supremely comfortable. I recently did a 1000 km round trip to Carnavon Gorge in 2 days, moving average 96km/h and just fuel stops. It might not sound like much but consider Aussie speed limits and the fact that I had a heart transplant in July 2016. No...
