I have found the best method (after using penetrating oil) is to use a phenumatic drill on the nipple from the other side. I made a bit that fits the groove in the nipple
That mod using the later clutch side case is the way to go! The original is magnesium and the stress on the kickstart shaft causes the magnesium around this to crack = oil leaks. It is near impossible to successfully weld magnesium. Interesting if you look at this later cover and behind the oil...
Hey @Sidpitt, no that is just too much metal and plastic for me. Like the 660 just don't get to ride it much these days. Got a whole bunch of vintage KTM's in the garage for restoration that is taking my time and $$$
