Thanks, will try post a pic when I get her done (eventually). I can't remember when I last saw one. I took the pic of the one above on a shop floor but apart from that haven't seen one. A guy I worked with in the mid-nineties had one, which I lusted after ever since.

Oops! Make no mistake, I love mine. It's a great bike but not made for comfort. Keep the GS for commuting, buy the 640 for fun :cool:

I once rode my 640 back from Durban in a day. My arse was tingling for weeks afterwards! 300km in a day is ok though. It has enough power to run at 140kph plus but is far more comfortable at 120 on tar (or below) but no where near a 1200GS. On dirt though, a different story. Still have fun...

If you use the correct screw driver then it shouldn't happen. Often someone has already damaged them by using a Phillips rather than JIS. JIS will work on Phillips but not the other way around.

Did it on my Norden. A lot lighter than having the cat there. Gave the standard exhaust a nice rorty sound. The Akro slip on seems a little quieter in comparison. Not sure if that gave the bike a bit more pep as I fitted the Rottweiler power plate for the intake at the same time but it feels...

Correct, but this is the H2SX SE - the "touring" version. Like Manic says they only brought in these for 2018. I was told the same story regarding special order so had to buy used.

ha ha. Sorry @MickeyT some gratuitious Norden pics for @Dwerg - Think this was Theronsberg, which I believe is closed now.

The Sutherland - Fraserburg road is tough going. Lots of washed away sections with sometimes deep mud. A few deep water crossings - the Norden's exhaust was nearly covered in one! This doesn't look too bad in the pic but this wasn't the worst I came across on Sunday.

You have a full tool kit but make sure you have the right torx bit to get the rear wheel off - I got a big hole that needed patching once and the only place in the small town I limped into that could patch the tyre was a car place. We eventually found the right size and got the wheel off but...
