Dear fellow BMW Rider,

John Carr, a Rider Academy Instructor, together with Johan de Jager, Chief Instructor from the BMW Rider Academy have put together a weekend ride where you will be given the opportunity to familiarize yourself with what to pack and take with on a “camping with your bike” off road ride.

We will meet on Saturday 12th March, 07:30am at Donford, and from here, we will do a combination of tar and gravel roads all the way up to our camping destination at Beaverlac, a small piece of paradise nestled high up in the Olifants River Mountains above Porterville. We will stop en-route for lunch and are aiming to arrive at around 15:00. On Sunday 13 March we will have a light breakfast and then depart back to Donford. Again we will stop for a light lunch and aim to arrive back at the dealership by 15:00.

The Saturday and Sunday lunch will be for your own account but on Saturday night dinner and Sunday light breakfast will be catered for.

What do you need to take with, here′s a short list:
Camping equipment i.e. tent, sleeping bag, pillow, ground sheet, small headlight, etc.
Swimming clothes − the venue have beautiful rock pools which we will definitely visit, remember a towel of sorts.
Crockery & cutlery − bring your own plate, cup, knife & fork etc. we supply the food, you supply the hardware.
Snacks − if you would like some snacks, please take some of your own, we will cater for some but suggest you take some with.
We will have a backup vehicle with us and also a trailer, if you want to rather have the backup vehicle take a bag for you, you will have to have this bag at Donford on Friday 11 March no later than 11am.

What do we supply:
We cater for Saturday night dinner & Sunday morning breakfast. A Backup vehicle with trailer.
Instructor presence to assist you with any situation or question you might have whilst on the trip.
A controlled environment to test your gear in terms of camping and what to take with and what to leave at home.

Cost:
R300 per rider and per pillion, payable to Donford Motorrad.
We will only take 16 bikes in total, this way we can control the group and give personal attention to everyone taking part.

We look forward to you joining us on this spectacular ride.

For book, please contact Nerissa Newman on 021 888 4200 or e-mail [email protected]. Bookings will only be confirmed once payment has been received.

Kindest Regards,

John & Johan
