Small group going up to Okavango to my dads camp to do some riding, relaxing, fishing and exploring. Outline of plan below. If you are keen to join please drop me a PM. Approximately 3300km. Not long trip because of leave constraints so schedule bit hectic but possible. I have driven to Maun in a day from Johannesburg many a time. Idea is to check out my dads place mentioned here: https://wilddog.net.za/forum/index.php?topic=189446.0

1. Sunday 20th of November: If we push through (but not kill ourselves) and depending on the border we can get as far as Tuuthebe camping site (7h46 / 778km).
2. Monday 21st of November 2016: Ride into Maun (3h30 / 346km) and spend day relaxing, clean & check bikes. We will stay at my aunts place
3. Tuesday 22nd of November 2016: Get some supplies for Okavango, ride around Maun and explore, have dinner at one of the lodges and head back.
4. Wednesday 23rd of November 2016: Leave very early and ride to Shakawe (4h15 / 376km). Roads are bad and massive potholes so progress will be relaxed. Arrive at camp, setup camp (been told there are tents with electricity and    lighting and bedding already there for us. Maybe ride the 10 min into town, refuel, get cold drinks and then head back to camp
5. Thursday 24th of November 2016: Spend day in Shakawe. We have options of  fishing, boat cruise up or down the river, ride to Tsodilo hills (2h28 / 53.8km)
6. Friday 25th of November 2016: Spend day in Shakawe
7. Saturday 26th of November 2016: Spend day in Shakawe
8. Sunday 27th of November 2016: Ride to panhandle of Okavango. Cross over with Mohembo ferry and ride the road down to Seronga (3h24 / 97.4km). Camp over
9. Monday 28th of November 2016: Not sure if there is still a ferry operating from Seronga to Sepupa. If it is then we have extra day in Seronga. If not we leave and ride back to Shakawe then push onto Ghanzi (8h36 / 577km). It’s a bit a long push but will be a great help head start for next day ride.
10. Tuesday 29th of November 2016: Leave early for SA via Trans Kalahari highway. Ghanzi to Zeerust (7h26 / 705km). Sleep over and return to Johannesburg on the 30th.
11. Wednesday 30th of November 2016: Ride back to Jhb / Pretoria from Zeerust
