Check this out, I attended part of the last event held, and found it very informative.
Those guys planning to do the Cairo trip would learn a lot by attending this event.

We are extending an Invitation to the first 30 Adventure Motorcycle Riders to join us for a full day of;

·        A Presentation by Steve Eilertsen from the African Long Distance Riding Academy

·        Instructor led, Adventure Trail Ride and Off-Road Riding Competition on our superb training facilities behind Cytech

·        A session on the practical and functional Equipment and Accessories to fit on an Adventure Motorcycle

·        A session and discussion on Camping Gear

·        A session and discussion on Lighting â?? Spotlights, Floodlights, Riding Lights and Headlight lighting

·        Alain Moradâ??s solo trials and tribulations on a BMW R80GS from Switzerland to Johannesburg

·        Meeting and interacting with other like-minded Adventure Motorcycle Riders

·        Cape to Cairo Presentation

·        Viewing what other Adventure Motorcycle Riders have fitted to their Adventure Motorcycles

·        Having just plain FUN

There is no charge for attending

·      Refreshments and snacks will be served during the course of the day

·      The 1st session will start at 08h00 sharp

·      The day will end at 17H00

·      Booking close on Wednesday 26th March 2008
