The Elgin Forest Resrve area used to be a large plantation of pine trees. I remember seeing some company making a car commercial video in the area becuse, they said, it looked better than the famous Black Forest in Germany - better lighting I suppose.
Unforunately the area was logged and (hopefully) after a number of fallow years it will be re-planted.
I have long wanted to explore the area. This is a preliminary exploration, prompted by my seeing the "hole" in the forest from the dam while I was flying my Spark, and wondering what was there.
