I came to a grinding halt on the side of the road on hospital ben Friday two weeks ago. Turns out fuel pump failed. :eek7:
With input from the 1150GS whatsapp group I looked for the alternate Bosch pump as BMW quoted 6.5k for a new pump.
I called Diesel Electric and the Bosch pump was only available on order from Germany
via seafreight
They suggested I call Goldwagen and I found a WAG pump for R780.00. It looks virtually the same except for the tea bag filter.
BMW fitted it and managed to swap the tea bag filter over as well.
Working lekker :thumleft: and it's not any noiser than the original.
