Gasket set on 990

Just had the steering column bearings replaced on my 990s Adventure. I wanted to sell it but can't do it now. It has sprung an oil leak... sometime largish marks on cement floor, sometimes nothing, sometime just a drop. I was quoted R 7k for a new gasket set - that is without labour. Is it necessary to do whole set to repair the leak? It looks (to me) like the leak is on the 2nd cylinder nearest to the back side where it attached to the engine block where the leak is.
Or is it better to make debt and have the whole set changed?
