For Sale Kawasaki KLR 650 - 2nd Gen

Hi All - Toward the end of last year I felt like doing a project bike again, it has been a while. I bought this bike - I went through the bike from top to bottom and back to front, replaced and fixed as I went - as project bikes go, if you're going to do it properly it ends up costing. What you now have is a nicely sorted, excellent condition bike that is smooth and strong and sounds great. Some of the highlights. It's the 2nd Gen 2008 model, but the papers say October 2007 - must have been one of the first of the 2nd Gen bikes, has 48k km;
- SBK exhaust - gives it a nice rumble, not too loud (there is a removable baffle if you want to take it up another notch)
- Aluminium bash plate/skid pan
- Seat made softer (very hard as standard)
- Full service done including air & oil filters, valve clearances, servicing swingarm bearings (one had to be replaced), all fluids (including brakes, radiator and front forks).\
- New gel battery
- New chain, sprockets are good with a bigger one on the front (so it cruises at lower revs)
- New Tyres
- Doo kit fitted
- I put it through roadworthy on 27/05, so it's still valid on the system (I think it's valid for 60 days)
- Licenced and in my name
The bike owes me at least R48 825, probably a bit more - I would like to recover R47 000 of that.
