KTM 300 or 450 ??

I am keen on starting enduro riding and have no experience .
I can get either  a KTM 300 exc-w or 450 exc-w for exactly the same price. Both 2009 models. I have spent some time on a 450 but have never had a chance to try out the 300. Comments ? Suggestions ?
