Hi all, I am new to this forum, am from Ruimsig Johannesburg. I have a K1200LT and a 1150 GSA. I left JHB on Monday 19 August 2013 for a solo trip on my 1150 GSA to Pemba at the top of Mozambique. I did 5600Km in nine days. On my way back at Caia at the Zambezi I hit a Pothole(crater) and snap 11 spokes on by front wheel. I had to ride back with a seriously buckled front wheel for 1200km. It was a total nightmare. As I have reached Beitbridge I have realized that my rear wheel was also lose and the oil was streaming out of the driveshaft. I have also lost the side stand bolt. My trip was an great adventure butt a solo trip without backup is a very very stressful experience and wont recommend it to anyone especially a trip off the main african routes. Is there anyone who knows someone who can give me technical advise on repairing my GSA.
