Planning a Ride in the Western Cape. Advice needed

As the title says,,, My dad will be joining on his R9T on a three night camping trip, he is okay with some gravel road but doesn't enjoy dirt mountain passes etc as age is pushing on a bit, gravel highways are his thing. So preferably 90% tar 10% gravel highway. Area; as North as Citrusdal, East as Matjiesfontein, and as South as Stanford etc, but more looking towards North of the N2 and N1 for this trip.. I please need help with the following:

1. Campsites in and around the mentioned area, looking for lush vegetation, big trees, water...
2. Must sees in the mentioned area (yes I know it's massive lol)
3. Must ride routes, we will be doing Bains for instance..
4. Places to avoid?
