Just did n quick trip from Pretoria to the West Coast, Garden route, EC, Hogsback and back.
The Roadtec rear is done for (was nursing it back home the last 700km's) and i now want to fit 80/20 tyres that must preferably be able to get very good tar milage (to cover 3 future trips x 5000km each) and have decent grip on normal gravel roads as i just do long distance touring these days.
By the way, the EC has some fantastic roads which was actually the best riding of the whole trip, particularly the R67 from Grahamstown to King Williams Town - yet not another biker in sight. I will go back and look for more such roads (lots of twisties, passes, scenery, good surfaces, and basically deserted compared to the WC).
Friends with DL's have Tourances and would appreciate any inputs on them or other suitable options worth considering
