We are thrilled to finally be allowed into the sacred Wild Dog temple. We have been reading the forum for many years now and we are big maats of Leo and other Dogs. Rallyerider 1 & Rallyerider 2 have finally been given the green light to compete in Dakar 2013. Many years of obsession is coming to a head very quickly now (118 Days to the start in Lima). 4 weeks ago our letters arrived and it was like an army call-up. We quietly crapped ourselves, and then reality took hold and we were glad that our training program started in good faith more than a year ago. We've selected the bulletproof CRF 450X as our weapon of choice through process of trial and error. The Australian spec that we are training with at the moment was used last year in the Australasian Safari, then stripped down, shipped to South Africa, and re-fitted to new CRF450x's. We have, and are, spending a lot of time in the Namib/Damaraland putting in quality training (Just arrived in Windhoek for an 8 day navigation training camp with Ingo Waldschmidt, Darryl Curtis, Riaan van Niekerk, and David Reeve). Will keep you posted as much as possible, will do a rider report in due course.
