Bought recently. Replaced mirrors, rear brake pads, spark plug, oil change, grips, replaced wheel bearings, greased all pivot points as it was neglected, replaced instrument cluster bulb, adjusted valves, air filter clean and in good condition (Uni filter). All lights and indicators work although switchgear light slider broken off (can still operate it). Exhaust cleaned and sprayed. The bike was used a lot off road so it has scratches etc, surface rust on spokes. Rear tyre 90% Front 40%, chain and sprockets good condition. It’s registered and up to date bit will need to go for a roadworthy to get a disc. Bike first registered in 2001 but it is an early 90’s model.
Honesty section the carb needs attention. It has a hanging idle and sometimes dies after starting. So a proper clean and service will be needed or buy one of those new Chinese copies for R1600. I have 3 bikes all needing attention and just lost interest tinkering on all 3.
