Wanted to add the same; my bike (625sxc) stands 9months/year I put it on a paddock stand, cover it after a proper farewell (I love you) clean, drain the fuel from the carb and attach a smartcharger. I really don't believe in half hearted periodic starts as alluded by many above, sits right up...

too much electronic interference, the mechie in the pit manipulates the "traction" system, what happened to the rider being in control?

It actually did, well, semi ploughing, the previous owner used it to make irrigation pipe furrows for the water system. There is a small orchard behind the trees and this waterpump (albeit solar powered) pumps the water to 2x 5000l tanks which then supply the orchard, the cabin and the overflow...
