    Tom, my recollection of you was a mild-mannered and thoroughly decent bloke. In fact you had the patience of Job, having to please those miserable (particularly those Canadians) ex-pat rig crew, locals and your own bosses. I wouldn't be too introspective, focus on your positives.

    Colours are misleading, however, look at the description of the supercilium (above the eye stripe running from the beak to back of the head). On the White-fronted it does not extend down to the hindneck collar whereas in the Kittlitz's, it does.

    Look under Plovers. Looks like the White-fronted as the Kittlitz's has more buff and yellow colouring.
