I agree that the bike came to rest quite close to the rut so it couldn't have been too much speed, but rather a lack of it. Would be interesting to know if she saw the rut too late and maybe had a bit of front brake lever grabbing going on?

It seems the T7 is mostly built in Spain and France but the OEM screen on mine is stamped with 'Made in Italy'.

Wait, what? The spokes on my T7 are also looking bad but I thought it was just because we stay close to the ocean? What Yamaha branch was this?

I also prefer the quietness of the full face helmet and it is a lot easier on my neck in windy conditions, but the peak on the adv helmet helps a lot on that late, dusty Tankwa afternoons when the sun hits you full in the face. The adv also works better with goggles.
