Well - the time has come & gone and basically - Dirk's leg is sorta healed. He can pretty much walk without crutches and the docs are happy with the progress. He was told that in about 3 months time... the leg should be suitably strong and same as before.
He's been chomping at the bit to get going but had some repairs and issues with the DR200. Unfortunately the kickstart is still stuffed - so he push-starts the bike to get it going (
I'm not going to hoes another R1500 for the shaft & kickstart
)
Dirk was keen to try and start the XT550...... but with a grimace on his face he agreed that his leg was not able to handle the weight yet. I did however let him have a spin on the XT.... and he came back with the biggest grin ever!

So he came to visit and I handed him his new ATGATT - the Akito Desert jacket fits him perfectly, new Fox gloves, Bellstaff trousers and O'Neal boots............. oh and of course a unique new "
London Bike-Safe" vest! (which he posed in, I then sent the pics to the MET Police instructor and he's re-posted on their main website.....

)
The pose......... especially for the MET Police... just to show them what blue skies & sunshine looks like!

Very proud of his kit!

Ready to go.... huge smile (oh the sunglasses are new too!)

Thanks again for all the support guys & gals!!
