Rynet,  my R50 bet still stands.
can i assumeny you're going to bet R50 the other way?

Well you are partly right , the Insurance companies may wear the poor biker down , as they have the money and the time and the energy to go after him ruthlessly. He must just not give in.

And yes , for the criminal case , if he wants to lay a criminal case, he is going to run into cops that probably will not want to open a criminal docket  , or investigate it properly , and the state prosecutor may not want to pursue it as she is busy with more serious cases , and even if he goes to court , the onus is on him ( the state)  to prove it , so yes , in the sense you are right , if things just flow naturally then your scenario may well happen .

But , if the rider is plucky and is looking for a good fight , and perseveres , he will not give up the good fight.

And , because , deep down , I still believe in justice and in our legal system ( as long as you push it a bit ) , I will bet you that R50.   :biggrin:

oooh please me too, me too... this is an easy R50 for Ganjora, no way the poor biker can afford the legal fees for a three year trial... Rynet, I'm in for R50 as well!

sub & waiting for confirmation from the biker's side, but if this is the Stone of Scone (the whole thing, and nothing but the thing)    , well, assisted Karma return may be called for...

Umm, ok, finished reading the thread to the end...

Recipe for Karma juice:

Ingredients: 1 x shelled raw prawn,
                     3/4 cup cold water

equipment:   1 x hand-held blender
1 x 50ml syringe fitted with 15cm length of soft 4mm rubber IV drip bag tubing

method:        blend prawn and water together until smooth & runny, adding water as needed.  Fill syringe with mixture.  Insert           tubing between each window & rubber on car, squirting 10ml into each door frame (=40ml + 10ml allowance for spillage)

result:           within 4 days car will be permanently abandoned.

application:    H2O on the lookout for a SPECIFIC late 1970's model blue Datsun

*Disclaimer* - the above is a parody and should in no way or form be taken seriously.

There are many bad BMW and  Audi drivers with an attitude on the road.  Be careful also of some middle aged women in 4x4.

Sad hope you get your bike back.

Adding cream instead of water makes for a better consistency... preferably cream that has ripened... >:D
