02/02/12 - RIP Glen - the Arrow of Elliot and the little man with the big heart that truly was larger than life.

You have touched us and left us better for having known you - even if it was only briefly.

For grabbing the moment and living the day It's been way too early that you were taken away

My 2c worth ... there is nothing more exciting when my husband pops a wheelie with me on the bike. Yes, we have also done wheelies from when the robot turns green, but that is normally first thing in the morning when off for a ride or on the way home and both are from pure happiness. However my husband always put safety first and if there is a risk someone could get injured he doesn't do it (even when I'm whining for more).

I don't wheelie all that well but the SE sure makes it a lot easier than anything else I've tried on.

"Realistically, people shouldn't be doing those speeds in 60 zones (by that time we had entered suburban area). The bend we came around is notorious for cars accidents. A lot went through my head, but all I wanted to say is... 'slow down'.

I copied this from a threat that was also started today. How is the behavior of the BMW driver any different from popping a wheelie in traffic?

The fact is, it is illegal to perform a wheelie on a public road,  and no matter how big a riding / wheelie god you are, you are still breaking the law.

Much as there are complaints about cyclist not being entitled to be treated with the same respect as other road users until cyclist learn not to ride abreast of each other, how can we as motorcyclists expect to be treated with due regard if we do not display that same regard to traffic laws and by extension other road users?

Yes I know it is about dick swinging and pissing contests, and let's go for that, but if we decide to do that let's not lament when cages do not treat us with any regard or respect for our safety.

It's actually quite simple, if you live by the sword you must also be prepared to die by the sword :pot:
