I brought this baby home to keep my XR500 "Rooi Gevaar" build project company..
OK so I lied.. I want to have a bike to ride. It will need work done, but is currently a rolling, riding, (leaking!!) bike, with papers!
I rode it from Brits to Benoni over Harties dam wall, past Hennops, via Midrand and Olifantsfontein. No RR, No pics..
I got a flat back tyre 10km from home, after dark.. Rode home in 1st gear.. >
Tyre still looks OK after all that abuse..
The photo makes the rim look buggered, but it's actually fine!!

I want to ride this bike so I'm going to tackle as much as possible in-frame, and then do a full restore when Rooi Gevaar is finished..
The rear shock is dry as a bone and springy as a honeymoon bed.. Hope I can get it fixed.. any ideas??
