Dronkies by the car window??   We dreamed of dronkies by the car window. We had to live in  a hole in ground and lick theroad clean with our tongues........  with my best apologizes to Monty Python.

But seriously, have anyone seen Umtata lately????

The whole of Transkei every town is a shithole. Avoid that area myself  :xxbah:

Hy gaan ook elke jaar so vir 2 of 3 maande Namibie toe. Dis gewoonlik vir my n "roundtrip" vanaf Pretoria.

If you complain about Lüderitz try Opuwo!

We fortunately stayed at the lodge which was uninspiring but at least clean. The camp site is a dump. The town is filled with uprooted, mostly drunk Himba. Unfortunately Opuwo is hard to avoid when travelling the Kunene region since it's one of a few supply hubs (means it's got a supermarket and petrol)

PE , the N2 north ,that piece of road with all the concrete between you and the sea, I think that is the most depressing place . Couldn't get past it quick enough
