Some guys here have recommended Sigma as a good primer for bare metal (e.g frame, rims, brackets etc). I thought I'd try some, but I'm having a bit of trouble getting hold of it here in Cape Town.
Most people I spoke to (Sigma Coatings in Paarden eiland + 2 auto paint suppliers) were of the opinion that acid-based etch primers are "old-fashioned" and not really used any more. ???
Sigma Coatings don't supply an etch primer any more - Shaun there recommended Sigma Prime 200, a two pack epoxy primer. Is this the stuff you guys are using? Smallest volume I can get is 5l, about R500. Much more than I need.
