Aftermarket slip on (Leo Vince) pics
« on: October 16, 2013, 01:04:02 pm »
After shopping around for an aftermarket slip on, I finally decided the Leo Vince is the affordable option. Got it delivered via courier and fitted within 1 hour. The pics speak for themselves...

First the old look...

Hi there Dave. How much did the pipe cost, how much does it weigh, and will it be possible to post a sound clip?

It was just under 8k, but I apparently bought the last one that the importer had in stock. Soundclip I can do, someone will have to give pointers. Maybe Youtube will be easier.

Dit lyk nou sommer awesome  :thumleft:  :thumleft:

Dankie Manic, ek dink ook so. Daar was 'n stainless pyp ook maar die carbon fibre pas beter.

looks lekker and probably sounds the buzness!  :thumleft:

but I heard Leo Vince has recently gone bankrupt, not that it should be any concern to existing owners..

This is correct, Leo Vince went into Liquidation on the 23 September 2013. I hope someone can bail them out. I'm waiting for my LV slip-ons to arrive from Cape Town so they can be fitted to my FJR1300.

Sad day indeed.

I tried ordering this today, but supplier only gets stock again next month...😢😢😢

They do have the akrapovic headers (SS) in stock, roughly R5000, will look great when ceramic coated black, no cat and makes the black akrapovic a bit louder...

What is the difference in the slip on and the headers? Is it the same or different? I am also looking for a slip on but not willing to pay R12k for a slip on! Not sure why BMW don't give us an option to give us aftermarket exhausts standard. They are paying for one anyway and this is cheaper and lighter!
