Yip even in the painfull process of waiting for spares I cannot think of any other bike that will be able to take the TE's place for my type of riding. Like the looks, motor is tractable, 6th gear and I really dig the suspension  :thumleft: Only other choice might be a 690 but is it R40 000 better than a 610 ? I don't think so.

Ps.   I owned a crf 450x , was not impressed at all !!!! Ktm 530 was much better  :thumleft:

Jy't any case die arme bike so mishandel, ek was net te verlig toe jy hom verkoop!

dW - funny ... some may say fickle ... if not mistaken you had a KTM and it was then the 'bees knees' ... then a Hussaberg and likewise was the best thing since sliced bread but too much of a handful?  ::) ... now back on a Honda  and it is also supposedly now the only scoot ... wonder what is best next after it ejects you again?  ;)

No Dom that husaberg is a fine piece of machinery.  And yes I was not good enough to ride it. This actually just adds to the bike's cult status
Most forum members believe that their bikes are the best option for it's intended purpose, hence them buying it in the 1st place (duh) but in truth, given unlimited funds, we all will own multiple bikes. (from the same class)

No, the next best thing since sliced bread is the 2 wheel motor propelled vehicle.
Here is the thing; you are a bmw brand zealot and I am a brand whore. Therefore, you frown on the fact that I find the Berg, KTM and Honda kickass. In my view, they ARE and I don't have to own one to justify my view.

Die 525 was n great bike.

Ek hoor jou. Ek wonder nogsteeds oor my CRF vs 525.. ek mis daai KTM!

No to the contrary I am not a BMW brand zealot - I have had a few and own a couple at present but also have a Husky (that is why I am here after all). I like you have also owned a number of brands - started with a Yamaha FS1 and later a Yamie DT400 (both iconic scoots in their day) ... and amongst others yes a Honda CB 350 Four and CFR250R (actually miss both of them) ... also own a KDX at present so no issue with Jap bikes. I have not owned a KTM but see one in my crystal ball sometime ...

Rather a zealot than a whore  ::)

You will have same problem with KTM 690, I tried to get a rear foot brake leaver from both KTM Clearwater and RAD (still waiting for an response)
Just imported it from the UK much quicker and less hassle.

dW post deleted.

PLEASE CAN WE KEEP THIS THREAD ON TOPIC.
If it is just going to be a brand dick swinging competition and to brag as to whose bike uses more oil without constructive inputs it will be locked.
