Youre an artist with these reports.

This one made me sad. I live in another riding heaven, but those views....make me pine for my homeland, Africa.  :'(

Your stories are exceptional, allowing us to traipse along with you on your trips, which is a true gift in a writer and story teller...
but that ability is a mere shadow of your true gift, to present us with photo's that are mind-numbingly breathtaking...
You sure do amazing RR's!

In two days the full Angola crew board SA8645 to Upington to re-run this route, and much, much more. The bikes are skulking at Time Freight awaiting our arrival!

Judging from our track record, it's likely to be a shambles. One of the bikes has a broken petrol tank, one of our members is a walking disaster zone of some description every time he goes near a bike, one of our members has become obsessed with camp cooking (I'm packing protein bars), and then we have... the Midget!

Quite clearly we've all forgotten how hot it is this time of year. I wanted to go to Lesotho, but they said it rains. Hold on to your knickers, desert, here we come!

We met in 2009 at the pont at Sendelingdrift, don't know if you remember. I was on a yellow GS1200 with only a topbox doing a two day gravel CPT-NAm-CPT. Since I have been on most of the routes depicted in this report, however none of my photo's are of this quality.

Enjoy.

Be Safe.

And remember the days you are stuck at work.

This has to be the very essence of what draws us out of the quagmire of taxes, politics, bills, and everything else that smothers the life out of us!

How can anyone not be uplifted just by knowing that this sort of reality is out there.....  and even more so by the anticipation of the next episode! It will be a privilege  ;)
