I just completed a trip from nelspruit to the Northern Cape, passing Kenhardt, down the West Coast to Durbanville in Cape Town. From there I went up the south coast, turning inland just before PE. Then via Bloemfontein back to Nelspruit. Total 4400 km. The bike was loaded with topbox , panniers, wife and myself.. the bike was as awesome as the trip.Tools came out twice only. One to have a leaking valve repaired an then to remove te remains of the rear mudguard, after 144 km dirt to Kenhardt. Only thing that bothers me a bit is the average fuel consumption of 14,2 kmpl. My average speed was 130. I have read stories quoting figures of 17 to 20 kmpl. The bike is fitted with an akropovic pipe, cat removed. Is my 14,2 kmpl within spec? Dos it need to be looked at??
