Hey, you! Mr leopard, yes I'm talking to you!

I have a photographer buddy, his first book is coming out in a few months.

He spends hours sitting around to get stuff like this...

I wonder where that road goes? And that, has usually made all the difference. Appologies to Mr Frost

Cool picture. What a life, just sitting around waiting fro stuff to happen

Trust me, it is not as glamorous as it sounds;

One failed marriage.
Sitting in a hot car at one spot for 8 hours to get no photo's... For 3 months in the Khalahari/Kruger/Khalagadi @ minimum of R150 per day.
Working like a twatwaffle to pay the bills when not in the bush to the point that freinds start getting pissed off.
Getting screwed by the SA Publishing companies; Going SA route = return of less than 10% of sale price of book. Going Singapore = 30% return on sale of book.
Self insuring all camera's and kit.

Go look here for some of his work;

Hey Kamanya.
Thanks for the link. That is some awesome photography. Something to aspire to.
Please keep updated with the details on his book release, as I will defiantly consider that as a buy!!

This is the cover of the book;

It will be in the R500 region.

He sat the whole day in summer once in the Kruger once just to get this one.

It is a monster croc with a baby hippo head that it had ripped off. What you can just make out in this but is much clearer on the original is all the barbel around its mouth trying to get their snacks.

Just sent me this one;

THE GHOST OF ROOIPUTS!

He only comes out apparently when there is lightning and red wine...

K, you're welcome to invite him to our forum to give some tips on photography and judge/review some of our pics?  In exchange he can advertise his book in his profile, maybe show us some teasers??

I'll try, but he is not often online.

He hates motorbikes, I've often tried to get him on mine but there is no way he'll even contemplate it ;D
