I have a 2013 800gs, had it since new. The only thing I have been really disappointed with is the quality of the standard seat. Not necessarily in terms of comfort, it is comfortable enough for me, after a couple of 100k's starts getting a little hard, but, in terms of build quality. To me the fabric they use is not suited to a dual sport bike, it seems to tear really easily, and once it starts, it doesn't stop. How many of you have the comfort seat? My seat now needs to be repaired or replace, and i am considering going for the OEM comfort seat. Is the fabric different? maybe stronger? or is it the same? I have never rider with one, is the comfort improvement reasonable to warrant spending 5k on a seat?
