It's finally here

https://ultimatemotorcycling.com/2016/10/04/2017-suzuki-gsx-r1000-first-look-in-depth-preview/

Will be interesting to see how it does in WSBK, somehow the Gixxers never really did well there in the past. The new R1 is very disappointing although not fully developed yet, they haven't been competitive since the Ben Spies days. The current ZX10 is nearing it's developmental cycle so maybe the rest can start playing catch-up now. But seeing how quickly Suzuki got on the pace in MotoGP shows what can be done if they are serious for a change.

ek hoop daai 250 is n 4 prop. n 20 000 rpm screamer sal fun wees.
My eerste bike was n Honda VT250SPADA wat tot so 14 000 rpm gehardloop het.
Goeie tye

my eerste n 'grey' GSXR 250, 20k RPM. Love it for a while, only got about 18-20km/L.. 32kw from a 250, not bad

A friend had a early 90's Honda CBR250RR, 6speed gearbox with reverse order gear pattern, racing style.

You really had to concentrate when changing gears at 18000rpm, not to go down in the box instead of up.

This new one certainly looks the business.  The VVT sounds great.  Having raced Gixxers for years I feel sad that I am no longer racing as I would certainly have bought one of the new super bikes otherwise.

Fokit Weskus!!

What sort of electronics will the new bike come with?
One of my mates just bought a 2015 GSXR1000 Moto GP edition and it's like a caveman bike compared to a S1000RR, however its an absolute beast.  :thumleft:

Any proper superbike should be like a caveman bike. This is what they're about, refinement is ok in a sedan.

The fact that there is a MotoGP edition tells you something at least. They can't make a special edition S1000RR because BMW doesn't compete competitively in anything, they do have the MotoGP Safety Bike Edition though  :imaposer:

The prettiest ones for me was the K5 600/750. They had a 20th anniversary special edition that came with a Yoshi pipe as standard. :drif:

Yeah sort of, from 2001 to 2009 were K1-K9, from 2010 to 2016 it was L0 to L6.

The 750 is a brilliant compromise, size of the 600 and more usable power of the 750, heres one I had but now own a blade for track day work.

Max I think that 750 is the one to have.  :thumleft:
