Guarantee on BMW battery
« on: November 23, 2015, 03:56:21 pm »
I bought a BMW c1 a while ago, upon receiving it , the battery was flat, went to BMW Cape Town to have it recharged, this battery was installed by them in March this year.
I have several issues with it as it does not deliver enough power for starting the bike, had to recharge again , then it works ok , does charge with bike running
Any pointers on what the warrantee may be on this battery as it is a BMW exide battery. And is now 9 months old.......

I suppose it should be at least a year
When the world says, "Give up", Hope whispers."Try it one more time".
It is nothing to fall, as long as you stand up one more time than you fall.
People that judge don't matter. People that matter don't judge.
I have not failed 1000 times, I found 1000 ways that wont work.
HOPE is what you've got left when nothing else is working out right.

I replaced the battery on the 1200, was pricy but was justified by the 2,0 year guarantee. I have had batteries last up to 5,0 years.
Bum in the saddle, always.

I bought a battery from Battery Centre Bellville also with a 2 year guarantee for half the price of a BMW approved one. And that 2 year guarantee is valid if you fit it yourself.
