Yesterday ( Monday 2 May ) we were on our way back to Cape Town on N2.
Coming past Caledon we encountered two ambulances heading same direction as us and still discussed whether they on their way to a Cape Town Hospital or an accident.
And then we saw the pile up of traffic just after the Villiersdorp /Greyton turn off on the N2.
To our horror, there was this red bike ( looked like a road bike ) lying in the road, with the rider still semi underneath it and bike parts all over the show.
Rider still had his helmet on but was bleeding in the face , and somebody kneeling there talking to him. Pillion was lying quite a few metres away, covered under blanket ( also with helmet on ) but there was a woman sitting in the road with the pillion HOPEFULLY comforting him/her.
You feel like stopping but at the same time realise you will be in the way as the ambulances also arrived at the same time.
This leaves one going on with that absolute SICK feeling on your stomach.
I am also quite sure this was the same couple coming past while we were refilling in Riviersonderend.
Anybody know anything about this? We would really want to know how these people are and hope and pray they are fine.
