Removing hand guards on AT crf

Has anyone tried to remove the plastic handguards on the new at ? I tried but there is a plug that remains inside that feel if imma gonna break it off if i apply force... any tricks inshould know of ???

Arrowfeather,  just pull it out, no harm done.
After you have pulled it out you will see that there is a funny looking black metal piece that is connected to a brass rod, just take small pliers and pull on the "ears"  of the black metal and then it will come out as well as the brass rod.

I have fitted my old Acerbis guards
