I was racing KTM's back in the 80's when they were made in Austria and required maintenance after every ride.

In those days I used to tow Maico's on a regular basis back to the start.

No KTM as far as I know ever had a beak so what makes you think they are following Honda? As far as I can see AT followed 950 13 or so years later. And it seems Honda at best will be following KTM into middle weight segment (at worst they will just do nothing).

Hopefully there will be a R model - actually a SE model I know it is early days but I am yawning... but looking forward to seeing what that engine can do and the weight of the final bike. I think KTM must not hang back too much as the Japs will have the jump on them very quickly and they will be playing catch up again.

Low mudguards can clog in very muddy conditions - that is why you will notice that even the Dakar rally bikes swap them around depending on the weather.

Reply sorry you are right I am getting confused. But I think you will find the original AT was out long before the 950. My apologies. I have just seen some of Hondas new prices. I think a lot of people will be moving over to KTM with the Honda extreme price increases.
