So last night swambo's NC starts making funky noises, and I suspect a hole in the exhaust. But, listening closer down on the right the noise sounds like tappets... until I realise it's the cam chain. Applied my best google-fu to the problem, only to find it seems to have happened a few times to NC's in the UK. Tensioner breaks, chain becomes noisy, and if you continue riding like that pretty soon it jumps a tooth or two.
Luckily Swambo's has not reached that stage!
So, where in SA can one buy such a tensioner? Honda can bring it in (no stock in SA, they say they have never sold one here) but that'll take a few weeks.
