I am planning a trip into Africa as far as Malawi in the next year. I currently have a BMW Navigator V with Garmap SA Topo 2012.3 NT loaded (free version) I need advice on what software to buy. My intention was to buy the Garmin City Navigator Southern Africa, but I was advised by a retailer to consider Maps for Africa (version April 2016 or later). He says it should be more than adequate as it now includes the city/town details (house numbers excluded) It also includes POIs. It is about R300 cheaper than Garmin.
