I've recently bought a 2nd hand throttle lock from a facelifted F800GS and found that it didn't' fit my pre-facelfit twin because the bolt holding the end weights were much thinner on the new models.
This little device is not rocket science and performs a very simple function so I've decided to make it work by drilling the hole out to 12mm to fit the bigger bolt and cut the lip off.
Works like a charm.
It feels like they've over complicated things a bit, one unit with a simple spacer for the facelifted models would have done the trick and worked on all twins with BMW hand guards.
I have preciously dropped Kaoko a mail asking if I could buy the metal piece for my bike but they never bothered to respond.
