Bike Transport options

Hi Guys, so its feels like I can say FFS finally!  I found a bike, several stars, planets, finances, market, Wildogs and the interweb aligned and I saw Sparky's 990.

Problem is im in JHB and Sparky is in Japan (Belville).  What how when where and how much?

Thanks Kobus, got a quote from them that seems reasonable so far. But need to compare and see whats out there.
Want to get the bike home asap and they leaving CPT on Wed so have monday and Tuesday to sort it out!

Just to let you guys know I used Milly's.  Quick and easy, bike was delivered personally by Milly as he had no drivers at the time and the bike got to me roughly 35hrs after collection.

Would gladly recommend his services if you need bike transport between JHB and CPT

Good news for Milly's as their service was not so good in the past. Lots of complaints about lack of communication and very late delivery.  Also struggled with them.

I would not recommend Bike Freight Transport.

I read the same on 2 other places.  + no cover or 1000zar cover if you pay extra 300zar.

Milly came in at R2150 comprehensive and Bike Freight at R2850 not covered.  I was covered by previous owner insurance and I was also fully insured thanks to Dearham and his team so did not have to find out who would cover what etc.

Good experience and cheapest quote. . .

I wish that I had found this thread before handing over R3800 to Peter Baker at www.bike-freight-transport.co.za.

My new (to me) bike took 6 weeks to arrive in Cape Town from Nelspruit. I seller almost sold it to someone else after Peter Baker took more than 3 weeks just to collect it from the seller and didn't keep an appointment that he made to collect the bike.

Now, 6 weeks later, I have just received my bike.

I called Peter several times. Never once got an apology for all his broken promises, and the hours of my time, the seller's time and my brother's time (who was receiving the bike for me) that he wasted by not delivering when he said that he would over and over again.

I don't think I've ever spoken to someone so unaccountable or with so little concern for his customers.

Had a bike transported from Bloem to Langebaan by Milly's as they are based here, fare price but had to wait 8 days. (R2150)
