SM / TE 610 Cam chain replacement
« on: April 05, 2017, 06:43:43 pm »
Does it still hold true that the OEM chain is cheese and should be replaced by a DID?

If so can anyone confirm the part number?

I found reference to  DID SCR-0412 SDH 122 on Cafe Husky http://www.cafehusky.com/threads/replacement-cam-chain-manufacturer-models-2008-sm610.41487/ but would like some confirmation.

My bike is a 2006

Thanks

Jaa .. the 2006 needs replacement of the OEM chain before 10 000kms. (one of the few Husky weaknesses)
Get a DID from Runner. He carries them in stock. On my Husky the replacement DID is still good after 60 000kms.

I know this post is old but just to confirm the D.I.D part number is SCR-0412 SV 122 as per the picture. It seems the SDH ones are not as strong?
