Confirmed, Gonk is out... :-\

Damn, what a shame.
I wonder if possible, which reserve rider is now hurriedly packing his kit....

How does Lyndon work around this media bit? Seeing that he has got a media crew going as well.... ???
[/quote]

I'm speculating.......He will capture the day's activities with his GoPro's and transmit wireless to the media crew. They will edit and web-anize :spitcoffee: it and post where ever needed. :lamer: They will most probably not be allowed in the bivoac area.

Lyndon's media vehicle has an official support vehicle number so will be part of the bivvy but I suspect there will be a stipulation as to how they collect or he hands over footage. Probably will be policed somehow to ensure he gets no support or something.

Today and tomorrow morning is going to be a helluva long wait...
- you reckon that thing will pop a wheelie? We're about to find out, SLAP that pig!

Reserved for first 30 applicants

Yes, that is the total number of entrants allowed in the class. But only if you don't have other support as mentioned in the regulations.
I believe Lyndon is still racing in this class.

Correct, in one of his videos he mentioned he had an exhaustive negotiation with the ASO about getting permission to have a media vehicle, I suppose under certain special conditions.
Theyre French, so anything is possible, but I would not put it past them to exclude him from the class after someone lodges a protest. ::)

18 hours difference between here and Peru. :laughing4:

Gotta plan ahead.

No just 7 hours. So when they start at 4-5 a.m. each morning it will be about lunchtime in RSA.

Don't forget in Bolivia it is 6 hours difference and 5 hours in Argentina. :deal:

I understand he crashed while training less than 2 weeks ago, and tore some ligaments. :(

Jurgen and Juan Carlos Salvatierra are running 450 EXC's...Respect. I never did think they could do the distance. Will be interesting to see if they can finish. Jurgen has oil cooler on his, byt Juan Carlos not.

Ya probamos la moto con la que correré el @Dakar. La máquina vuela... y mucho. No aguanto las ganas de ponerla a prueba en la primera etapa. ¿Les gusta?

We already tested the bike with which I will run the @Dakar. The machine flies ... and a lot. I can not stand the desire to put it to the test in the first stage. They like?

Meanwhile in park ferme...... :drif: :drif: :drif: :drif: :drif: :drif: :drif: :drif: :drif:

Got to say I love pictures of bikes lined up like this. I don't know why.
