Hello Wilddogs!!
We are Matthieu and Pamela, a French-American couple that is headed your way this March. We have traveled 2-up around Europe, Asia, North/South America on our beloved 1150GSA since 2010 and are now looking to ride around Africa. This time we thought we’d buy a local bike so we don’t have to deal with shipping or Carnet de passage restrictions!
We will be arriving on 21 March into Jo’burg where we will buy and register our bike, hopefully without too many problems. We are looking for an 1150GSA or an early model 1200GSA. It would be great as well to meet up with other « motorbike family » members!
We plan on traveling around RSA and Zimbabwe and then parking the bike from June thru August to then come back in September to continue on!
