My new adventure bike
« on: March 12, 2018, 04:54:52 am »
Let me say this: Honduras has some really amazing mountain and jungle terrain to ride in.

I have been working here a year now without bike, but eying the lines everywhere I have been, Damn it sucks not to have a boney. But no longer!!

Here is the new rubber. KTM 350 EXC for me and a KTM 250 6 days for Mrs BB in the background.  :ricky: :ricky: :ricky:

And here is a preview what it looks like; looking back after about 10 minutes ride from my house.

A postscript. You may wonder why my beautiful woman is not with me in that second picture.

Well....there is a story about that.

Something about a steep downhill, the front washing out and torn ligaments in the right leg. She is going to be okay which is the good news. The doc was horrified when she asked how long before she could ride again. Its pity...she was so keen about the new bike and then this happened. Well guess who is finally gonna be riding with knee braces next time? :laughing7:

That KTM 350 is are really nice bikes ... rode one a few weeks back.

I don't know if I would call it an adventure bike. It's used mostly as an enduro bike, and it's becoming quite a popular amongst extreme enduro riders to compete against 300's.

Thanks for all your well-wishes and comments! :thumleft:

This is true, but that being said, I'm going to have lots of adventures on it. I suppose its bit like the "what bike is the ideal bike" discussion: It is what each us define it to be. No wrong answers there really.

However, against the BMW 310, I think this bike compares rather well...I wonder if Harry has tested one? :laughing7: :pot:

I plan to do a couple of RR's and will post the link here when I get around to it. :deal: Thinking about perhaps doing a Life-in-the-Caribbean thread as well.

I read the first 2 lines: “My new adventure bike.
Let me say this, Honduras has some...”

So then I clicked the link because I thought it was  about some new Honda enduro bike called “Honduras”.
No I’m not kidding.
