Installing BMW headlight protector
« on: April 02, 2018, 05:50:32 pm »
Hi Guys,

I recently got hold of a 2nd hand BMW headlight protector (with no instructions) and need some pointers on how to install the lower arms.  :peepwall: :peepwall:

After removing the 2 screws on the side it seems that the headlight is loose, but how are to bottom rubber grommets removed? see the photo attached,

Thanks

As far as I can remember the one on the right side of the bike is the problem, you will have to remove the side panels and lift the headlight unit out..
I have seen some of the guys at Bavarian MC fit these units in a few minutes without too much effort - it can be done.
I took my time and got to know the bike.

2 wheels move the soul..

You will have to strip all the plastics off the front to be able to remove the headlight unit, then install the 2 lower mounts and then re-install all the plastics. This can take a while  :-[ :thumleft:
