I'm thinking of trading my 990 in for a 800. Where would the best place be to go look at second hand models for a trade in. I'm based in Johannesburg.
Oh when the Spurs, go marching in, oh when the Spurs go marching in, oh Lord I want to be in that number, oh when the Spurs go marching in.

:sip: I rode both the 800 Xca and 1200 Xca about a month ago, the new tech is amazing, and all the improvements (200) on the 2016 Xcx well thought out and makes the bike well worth the money.
If I did not have my 2016 800 Xcx with 20 000km on the clock I would have bought the 2018. I just could not convince myself to make the move, yet!
But it will happen somewhere in the future.
Yamaha 50, Yamaha 400, 2 x Yamaha DR 350 LC, Honda CBX 550 F2, Honda TransAlp 650, Triumph Tiger 800 Xc,
Now 2015 Triumph Tiger 800 Xcx.and.. my favorite... 1996 Yamaha Tenere 660 5 valve single.

Agreed, I have a 2015 XCX with 28000km and am in no hurry to upgrade because there are no frustrations with the current bike,   love it.    So while a new one would be nice there is no justification in spending all that extra money at the moment.    Will probably keep her for another year or three, but the way bike prices are climbing,  imagine what they will cost by then.

You know Tom I must agree. Best of the bikes I've had over the years. Something about the bike from throttle to revs to brand I just love. Each to his own but I wont change at all, I will keep my 800 till I'm an old old man.

I am with you XTZ - but the 900 has definitely got my attention.
Previously owned: Yamaha XT250, Honda XL500R, Yamaha XT600 Tenere, then moved over to the Dark Side with a great classic: Honda CB750F - all sold unfortunately.  Currently have a '14 Triumph 800XC and restoring a 2010 Tenere 660Z.

If I was in the position to buy a new bike I would have walked passed the Afrika twin to get the Triumph 900, regardless of ? aftersales service :3some:
