Good morning everybody. I am looking for some advice please. The last two times I have washed my bike, I couldn't get it to start again immediately... It seems there is some problem with the bike not recognizing in what gear it is. Bike was in neutral when I started washing it and still there when I finished. The onboard computer however doesn't give a reading of what gear it is in and doesn't want to start. Even if I keep in the clutch and try, nothing. Not even an attempt to swing. As the bike dries out however, it starts recognizing gears again and eventually starts.

Now before some of the wise asses start saying let the bike dry before starting it, I am afraid of what might happen if I go through a river or heavy rain and the same problem occurs. Any ideas on what might be causing this and how to sort it out?
