Posted in planning a ride , I am going on a long ride in December , 14 days to the Westerncape . I have a 12v pump that I take along as well as the bikes tool kit and a can of chain lube . We will be traveling 95% tar , and about 450 ks per day.
Suggestions on what else to take along on the ride , I have a puncture plug kit , but have never taken it along with me , tires are 4000ks new. Fitted a new chain , and did a oil & filter service , will remove the tank to clean & oil the air filter , then the bike should be good to go .
I believe my preparation for the trip has be well done , but little foxes can cause havoc and I would like to be prepared for that . Did the trip to the Margate bike fest , no problems , another trip to Ponta , part from the battery dieing no problems , have since fitted a new battery .
